Do you know how many calories you’re eating each day?
Is it possible to eat too much fat or not enough fat per day?
I DID lose 60 lbs in six months on the original MWLD plan in 2015. It’s just not working this time…I am so frustrated. They tweaked their plan to include more fats such as butter, olive oil and coconut oil but still don’t allow nuts or use of almond or coconut flour.
Have you listened to any of the podcasts that explain what happens to your metabolism when you calorie restrict?
Basically, your metabolism decreases as your calories decrease. And to continue weight loss, you have to continue to decrease calories.
If you did MWLD for an extended length of time in the past, your BMR could already be significantly lowered, which would explain why you’re losing less this time than last.
I really urge you to read The Obesity Code or listen to the podcasts. It will explain the science in an easy to understand way. Or search for it in this forum.
My guess would be you’ve destroyed your metabolism with calorie restriction. You lost 60 lbs the first time because your body didn’t know. Then 30 the second time because it was starting to learn. Now you’re having issues because your body is desperately trying to hold onto the few calories you’re giving it. Just my guess.
There are several threads here that explain the difference between fasting and calorie restriction.
@ketohit, thank you for your comments. They seem to make the most sense to me. I’m trying to be patient and will stop consuming extra fats just to stay in ketosis. I will trust what my docs are telling me. It’s kore in line with what u have stayed here.
