Is it normal to feel bloated after eating certain kind of fat?

For example, pork lards…

So I tried to bake pork lards, and I get lots of oil as a result.(and some crispy pork lards)

But… I put them into veg soup and now… I don’t really feel comfortable. When I burp, I can even feel the pork lards, so I kinda suspected that pork lard is the reason.

So when people said that they feel bloated when eating lots of carb, I am wondering: how come I feel bloated from eating fat instead?

Yes,
Fats are harder and much slower for your system to digest. The system takes time and will have to adjust bile salts and enzymes to accommodate higher fat intake. In the beginning it will sit in your gut longer and give you a bloated feeling and might gas you up some. It will pass and it does get easier.

My body took many months to adapt to higher fat. I had the runs, or #3 as we refer to it in our house, for the first 3 or 4 months on keto. It definitely takes time for the body’s enzymes and microbiome to shift to digesting more fat.

you seem to be short of salt

and maybe magnesium and potasium.

I only feel bloated if I am short of salt.

Err… On the soup that I made, I keep putting in salt till it is quite salty tasty.(More on tasty, less on salty. And I believed that it is considered too heavy-taste to other people already, just that I happen to like things more heavily flavoured, so I am okay with it…)

as of magnesium and potassium, maybe I am in lack of potassium: If I am not wrong, green lettuce has quite lots of either of them, right? O_O

If you are ok with electrolites, then this is difficult one for me.

I am sure other members can contribute

Normally I will buy mineral water for that purpose.
