20 grams a day for three days was originally the inception/induction phase to place the body in ketosis in the mid 1990’s under various weight loss programs that existed then. Then to 30 grams of carbohydrates.

50 to 100 grams of carbohydrates is considered to place the body in standard or basic nutritional ketosis.

I was experimenting with the ketogenic diet when people were still using word processors and did not even know what a internet or computer even was or a ketogenic diet for that matter unless you had pharmaceutical resistant epilepsy…lol

I gave up on it back then (was not feeling so well) and now look at it?
