Came across this interesting n=1 experiment with some good data (Inc. DXA). He used a fast mimicking diet rather than a pure water fast.

I’ve been contemplating a PSMF a la Lyle McDonald, which seems similar except the protein and fat macros are basically reversed. Cool to see that Gustin preserved his lean body mass. I wonder how it would be after a week of doing this kind of eating? In McDonald’s plan, people with <15% bodyfat run it for 11 days straight.
