Infographic and a study re: fasting & allergies
The allergic/autoimmune disease I have causes hyper sensitive mast cells which randomly make me become anaphylactic.
Learning more about keto woe and fasting and going to KCKO, even tho I’ve hit a pretty bad flare and low platelets recently. 8 weeks in, but I have science on my side.
This is very cool. Did you notice a change in your reactions/symptoms while you fasted? It would make sense that by not introducing potential triggers in the form of food would reduce reactivity, but it seems that BHB may have protective and therapeutic effects as well. Keto on my sister.
I always feel better when I’m not eating. After 62 hours I only broke the fast because I began to worry that the stress of not eating might make me react since I react to stress, hormones, chemicals, histamine content of food etc. Or that not eating will effect my (stupidly high amount) of medications I take.
Whenever I’m reacting I end up on bone broth only. I keep thinking I need to eat more foods to heal but now I’m thinking that being on bone broth is okay. I don’t need to progress to more foods until I’m actually ready.
Lots to consider.
