Impromptu first fast

I’m so excited, I hadn’t planned on starting intermittent fasting until I had been keto a few weeks thinking it would be easier on me but today I woke up at 6amjust had my tea, and haven’t had anything but water since. If I make it until 630 I will have made it 24 hours. I bought some little packets of electrolyte pills to use once I started so about 12 I took some of those and I feel great. A little hunger now and again but it goes away.
I’m pretty excited about it. I started eating keto just over a week ago and felt awful until yesterday when all the sudden I felt great. Pretty excited to start IF because I’m mainly doing this to avoid diabetes which has hit everyone else in my immediate family already.

IF is great for confirming you have total control of when you eat, just please pay attention to your hunger signals if those start poking at you. :slight_smile:

You don’t have to do IF or EF to lower your risk of diabetes, but if done correctly, it certainly won’t hurt. You can get your hormones behaving properly simply by following basic keto protocol: Low carb, high fat, moderate protein and eating to satiety.
