Yup. Proof’s in the pudding.
These socks were too snug to go over my swollen calf 5 months ago. Now, they fit to the top of my calf, so I need to fold them over. Also, I just cut 6" off my shoelaces, as they’re too long now that my feet are narrower. Looks like I’ve gone back to Normal width rather than Wide.
I'm shrinking
Right on, Don. BY FAR - the biggest change for me has been the lessening of lower-leg swelling. It used to be brutal, also due to pathetic lack of exercise and vast stretches of time sitting in an office chair, i.e. 24 hours a day sometimes (playing computer games all night, maybe sleep a couple hours, right in the chair). In 2016 I had an area on my right shin the size of a large coin, where fluid was coming out - I guessed it was blood plasma…? Just forced out by high pressure, I figure. Soaked a good bit of my sock and ran down into my shoe.
Keto and fasting for a few months last year, and it was 95% better. If I get enough sleep, like horizontally in a bed, it’s 100% better.
Thanks everybody.
Doug, I tend to sit a lot. I also tend to sit with one leg folded under me, which compounds my poor circulation in that leg.
When I drive in my car, my leg rests against the plastic edge of the center console. Before, that left a “dent” in my leg where I’d pressed out the retained fluid. It would stay like that for 30 minutes until the fluids returned.
That no longer happens.
Exact same here. I could press in with a finger and make a dimple/hole/depression about 3/4" or 2 cm deep. It was actually kind of fun.
My leg still hits that damn console.
My kids played with it for weeks til they moved on.
I can’t stand it! So irritating on road trips.
