Good point. If @Queenv’s “reality” on this forum is rude and condescending, then they should take that “reality” somewhere else.
The whole of the forum should not fundamentally change for the sake of one person’s “reality” when it doesn’t agree with the “reality” of all the others.
Sorry if we’re rude, but I disagree. That’s MY “reality”.

@alexelcu, my point to @Hoosiersmoker was there can’t be two “realities” regarding the forum’s decorum. We’re either rude or we’re not. Granted, we may have the occasional heated debate, or a rare troll who’s just trying to stir up trouble, but overall it’s a pretty decent forum.
@Queenv started this thread and (you don’t have to read all 300+ comments to see that) most of the members who commented at first were very courteous and concerned (myself included). It was the lack of interaction from the OP that led this thread into multiple rabbit trails.
Then @Hoosiersmoker has to make a condescending remark about how right @Queenv was, and how rude we are for having the audacity to post pictures of our pets!
You’re right! Talking about realities isn’t helping right now. But all I want to know is why haven’t we heard from @Queenv! They’re the one that started it all.
(I for one am thankful, because those were some really adorable pictures of everyone’s pets. Except @juice’s. I’m still having nightmares.

The reason Queenv is likely not responding is because she read some of the posts, as you all are proving to be the rude posters referred to in her original post, and left the forum as you obviously intended, after all, if Queenv doesn’t agree with your position, they’re obviously wrong. Also, one does not have to actually have read many posts to see what douche bags you guys can be, just read a few of your comments. I use to refer people to this site but no one has time for your petty, tiny-minded attitudes and chest puffing. Therefore, I will henceforth dissuade any and everyone I contact to avoid your middle-school antics, pointless, errant comments and pseudo-intelligent statements on a subject obviously far too involved for your mentality to begin to comprehend as I don’t wish them to waste near the time here I have. Just because you have the right to bully people doesn’t mean you should. Your response to this will never be seen with my eyes so please, waste as much of your time as you can and continue comments, bullying and ultimately your ensuing lack of intelligent thought on my response. And good riddance!

Fortunately, I get to control my reality - certainly with regard to internet forums, and I don’t bother with places unless the pros outweigh the cons.
I’m also very aware that the declaration ‘I’m feeling bullied’ is often extremely subjective and may be used to manipulate (or try to manipulate). In order to feel bullied, you have to identify as a victim. That is not a reality I embrace.
If anything happened on an internet forum that led me to feel victimised, i would face the same 3 options I face in every difficult situation:
- Accept it.
- Change it.
- Leave it.
We all have the same options, and are responsible for our own reactions.
I sure as heck can’t control other people, their behaviours, or their realities. Plus, of course, real bullies never want, or care enough, to change their behaviour, do they?

Totally agree.
I know this is going to sound less than supportive of the OP, but I’ve noticed a common factor in the previous posts made by some (not all) of those crying bully. They appear to be expecting a consistent nurturing and upbeat tone from others that they themselves aren’t consistently putting out there. Like they can say whatever they want however they want but everyone else had better walk on eggshells.
And if one goes around constantly attributing insult and injury to everything other people say that doesn’t come out just right, one will become a really difficult person to deal with. Reality goes both ways.
