IF fast, macros - level up?

Hi all,

I’m on day 5 of IF 18/6.

When I break-fast should I attempt to get to my normal daily calorie amt or something less? I’m assuming that I should target the same ratio of carb, protein, fat percentages. Or do I just eat to the satiated feeling?

I’ve been doing time-restricted feeding for 8 days, 10 hr eating window and 3 feedings with no food between feedings. Last 4 days I have completed 18/6 IF and have been able to push myself into fat adapted state. I’m not completely there. Still some hunger. But able to get to a the satiated feeling predictably now.

If you go a pronlonged period of time at a lower caloric intake, your metabolism will likely slow down to meet that.

Yes. Megan Ramos talks about this very issue being something that many IF’rs get wrong. Fasting is the balance to feasting, so when you’ve been fasting and it’s time to eat, EAT.
