Wow! Awesome find! I love that MFG’s are finally responding to market demand. Back in the day, we had to make this on the fly and it was a pain in the ass. I love that I can go to the freezer section of the grocery store now and find a micro steam-bag! It does get easier…with the passing years. :roll_eyes:

I’ve never found cauliflower rice that was similar to rice. Even grated and used immediately. I would say in my opinion, it’s like any other steamed veg.

I would agree. I just wondered if the Iceland cauliflower rice turns to mush when thawed. Or whether they have a faster way of freezing that preserves the texture better.

Must say, never tried to thaw, just steamed in microwave from frozen, would also use from frozen if using in stir fry too. If that helps?

I don’t bother microwaving it I just fry it in ghee sometimes with a few whole spices for flavour (cinnamon stick, cardamon pods, clove etc). Takes a good 5/10 mins to defrost/steam off and start to colour.

Finally got round to using the cauliflower rice. It think it’s really good. Works well, keto friendly, nice bite. I bought more. Okay not the cheapest way to consume cauliflower but very handy and easy to knock up a keto meal with.
I use the frozen avocados in my almond milk shakes, but they really are a bit expensive at £3.50 for 4 frozen ones. But again handy while I have no ripe fresh to hand.
A regular for me I think.
