I am a security officer at a federal facility (it is my retirement job and I love it) and we are required to wear most of the gear that any law enforcement officer is required to wear to include a service weapon, handcuffs, police baton, etc., and all on what is commonly known as a pistol belt.
I recently had my boss get me knew shirts down from
5/6 X down to 3X with the agreement that I would need 2X very soon since the 3’s were already getting to Big except for the arm area due to the massive guns that I have (check my pic out…yes…those are real!!! AND soon I’ll have the stomach to match 
).
So I’ve been strutting around like a prize rooster but my pistol belt was really giving me problems over the past month or so and i my clips to adjust it seemed to be defective.
It was getting so bad that I was beginning to look like (as my buddy put it) “John Wayne” with the way my weapon was hanging and I simply could not figure it out.
So last night as I was pondering this out loud my buddy looked at me and said “could it be loose because of your weight loss?”
BAM!!! For whatever reason it didn’t even occur to me that along with all of my other clothes and equipment that my belt would need adjusting since normally most people have to adjust the pistol belt ONLY when they gain weight .
So I took the belt off and “lo and behold” I had to adjust the thing a good three inches on one side and almost three on the other side and I was blown away and tickled that I so missed the obvious!!!
Needless to say it was a pleasant non-scale victory and surprise that snuck up on me but was funny as heck because I literally can NOW look back and realize that I was losing inches around my waist UNDER the belly and didn’t realize it and it was causing me to go almost mad and I chalked it up to everything EXCEPT my keto weight/inches loss .
Just wanted to share and I sure wish that they would let me use the security video feed to show the video when my buddy asked me that question as my “dumbfounded” expression would be priceless!!!
