I’ve learned to put mine in the fridge now because at half a one every other day or so, they disintegrate. The fridge let’s me keep them beautifully though.
I had some avocados I was convinced were bad because they were overly soft. Cut into it and it was absolutely perfect! So I ate one, then I peeled and cut the other 3 (in the same state of over softness) and those 3 were also perfect and froze them. First time freezing avocado so Im curious how they hold up. I would think they will be fine because now you can find frozen avocado chunks at costco.
I recently bought 4 avocados from Aldi and had to pick from a lot was so underripe that I need to wait another 3-4 days before they are edible. They are still as hard as hand grenades…
Be patient! I usually try to buy a few really green ones so they don’t all ripen at once. When they are near perfect I refrigerate them in a sealed container because the will dry out and wrinkle and brown but slower than unrefrigerated. I often buy the bags with mini avocados, perfect serving size for me.
And if anyone else took a while to figure this out like I did or hasn’t realized it yet avoid the hass avocados that are roundish instead of pear shaped. They always have a giant pit so less green stuff.
ALL SIX WERE PERFECT!!
This NEVER HAPPENS!!!
I had the last two for brekkie this morning.
Going to buy a lottery ticket.
pro tip - put your avocados in a closed paper bag to ripen them quicker!
avocados are love, avocados are life

Aldi has the best price on avocados by far and I guess everyone knows it. I will just have to wait for nature to take its course.
Yeah same here. A few that are ripe, a few that are almost ripe and a few that need some time is the way to go. I’m not really irked about it. There’s plenty of other good stuff to eat in my freezer and fridge.
