Confession time…I wasn’t around for a few months, because I wasn’t keto, heck I wasn’t even low carb. I fell for the whole foods plant-based information. I’ve had moments of wanting to be vegan, on and off for years, yeah - I know. A friend of mine who looks great and is doing so well, told me I was never successful because I ate vegan junk food, not whole foods. I figured I would give it one more try, because I have seen how well she has been doing, and I was getting nowhere with Keto.
I screwed up, big. My blood sugars are, once again, out of control. So, lesson learned, really! I purchased the stuff to make bone broth, and tomorrow I am back at it 100%. I have accepted these facts:
- Yes, some people do really well with eating plant-based, I am not one of them.
- I do not do well with carbs.
I’m going to be going through the posts and gathering recipes to keep myself from getting bored.
Why did I feel the need to even say anything about this? Because I saw a lot of posts from people who were ready to give up. So, to those of you who have been struggling and thinking you should quit, let me tell you that quitting may undo all of the work you’ve done thus far. You may not feel that you are getting anywhere with your weight, but you took years to screw your body up, give it some time to respond. Also, pay attention to the things that people are saying. Check your dairy intake, check your fat levels, your salt levels, your water intake, etc. Make one change, and give it time before making another. Try eliminating or limiting dairy, if after 30 days you haven’t seen a change, try IF or OMAD. Find the combination that works for you.
