Hey everyone.
My third day trying this diet today. I was used to eating around 5 meals a day which consisted of a lean meat with whole wheat rice/ pasta and veges. I can’t remember the last time I had butter being sober and it feels like I’m getting fat already.
I’ve had two eggs fried in butter with bacon and cheese in the morning.
Chicken thigh with spinach and ranch dressing for lunch.
And just a can of tuna (in oil) with bell pepper for dinner.
And a handful of nuts. In the whole day. My calorie calculator is telling me that I had around 1200 calories.
I’m not used to eating cheese or dressings and butter. But I feel really full, don’t have any cravings, still the calories look pretty less but I feel fat. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?
I feel fat
5 meals a day ?
Max 3, try to get to two.
Food is hard on the body, it needs rest.
No, you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re feeling satiated because you’re eating fat. As people suggest, eventually you will want to consolidate your eating, but it’s likely to happen without much effort on your part. Once your body is assured of a decent supply of energy, it tells you when you’ve given it enough, and you’ll find yourself going for quite long periods of time between meals because you’re just not hungry. Since this is all brand new, give yourself some time to get used to this way of eating before you worry about taking it to the next level.
I would say it is simply maybe feeling more satiated than you did before as others have said. I would just KCKO on for now. It is such early days, things are bound to feel a bit weird and different.
You’ve made a change. Your body probably hasn’t figured out what you’re doing yet. It takes a little time. Three days is like the first three steps of a 5k. It’s gonna take a little while to see how this is gonna go. Stick with it and give it a chance. If you follow your new way of eating, your body will figure stuff out. KCKO.
You could be one of the minority who don’t respond well to keto. But odds are you’ll do well on this.
Would love to hear an update in a month. I think most of us find our weight drops most quickly early on, so you may be pleasantly surprised in the next few weeks.
I also suggest that you find a doctor to support you through this. Get your blood work done now and keep an eye on it every couple of months.
