I didn't know there was a name for my WOE!

Hi, everyone! First, let me say that, compared to some of the boards I have visited very briefly in the past few days searching for some information, the people here are SO MUCH MORE intelligent, mature, respectful, and well-informed, and as such, I will be “hanging out” here to get my me to fix!

That being said, and if you haven’t seen my previous posts or replies, I had mentioned that I had realized earlier this year that I had to restrict of only my carbs way, way down to almost zero, but I really had to watch my fat intake as well. And my plan since the middle of April has been mostly lean meats and fish, veggies, and I lowered my cheese intake, which is a staple for me. I also do IF, usually 6:8, and drink bouillon for breakfast, plus take potassium, magnesium, multivitamin, and Lugol’s iodine with selenium for my thyroid condition (after I figured out that Synthroid was doing nothing!)
So, as it turns out, while looking for something else today, I found out that what I am doing is called “protein sparing modified fasting”. It seems that hospitals use it for obese patients, and even bodybuilders like Lyle McDonald use it to cut and condition. It is important to have a refeed ( I do…I call them “feast” days!) Turns out there is a whole scientific reasoning why this works for some of us, and why this is the ONLY thing that will work for some of us when the LC or me to still isn’t producing weight loss.
Pretty encouraging!

Worth considering.
