I Can't Wait! *All The Good Stuff Thread*

(Sophie) #1

This is a thread to post all the positive stuff that you know is on the horizon!

I can’t wait until I can look down and see my toes without bending over!
I can’t wait until my BMI moves below Obese for the first time in 8yrs!
I can’t wait until I can try on my wedding dress and, Ooops, it’s too Big!
I can’t wait until the inflammation is gone from my body!
I can’t wait until I can walk again without my stoopid thighs rubbing together!
I can’t wait until I see someone I haven’t in a long time and they don’t recognize me!

Feel free to add your own. :grinning: I have more but can’t think of them right now…

14 more pounds and I will move from obese to overweight according to BMI! I used to be extremely obese or whatever it was
2 more pounds until I hit the 160s
I can’t wait till I fit into a size small shirt for the first time… ever (currently medium)
I can’t wait till my size 14 jeans are too big!!
I can’t wait until my sister comes over next month and sees me for the first time in over a year!

Wonderful idea for a thread. Today I’ve been keto for exactly 3 months, and the things that have changed for me so far are:

Down from 440 lbs to 384 lbs
Soreness/Stiffness/Inflammation significantly reduced
Energy levels vastly better
Mood elevated
Blood pressure improved
Most importantly, I now have hope for a better future for myself.

Moving forward:

I can’t wait until I am no longer listed as morbidly obese on my doctors paperwork.

I can’t wait until I am no longer seen by others as “the fat guy” like I have my whole life.

I can’t wait until I my progress is to the point that the people who I know who really need this can no longer ignore it.

I can’t wait until mainstream medicine gets their collective heads out of there asses and starts curing people instead of medicating symptoms.

I can’t wait until li can say that I am in complete control of the food I eat and what goes into my body, and not that food and other things I know are not good are controlling me.

There is a big difference in having a big fat cheeseburger because you choose to once in a while and having a big fat cheeseburger because you can’t resist the smell as you walk by the store.

I think life is all about having as much control over everything in your life as you can and not letting things control you

I can’t wait to see the look on my sister’s face when she realizes, I am finally smaller than she is, it’s a sibling thing :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I can’t wait to be able to say I have been in the normal range for my height for a year now. That will be next May!
I can’t wait to cook some great keto meals for some of my friends who keep saying " I could never give up my carbs."
So they can see how awesome eating this way can be.
I can’t wait to get my husband to give up his beloved potatoes/pastas, he is getting use to the low carbs, but still eats potatoes and some protein enhanced pastas. He is warming to the spiralizer’s zoodles tho.
I can’t wait to see my new lipid profile later this summer, I’ve lost the weight and it will be several months into maintenance, I’m hoping for a great lipid profile, it was pretty good in March, should be much better now.

I can’t wait until I get off all my blood pressure medication.
I can’t wait until I get back to my wedding weight.
I can’t wait until my progress is dramatic enough to encourage my family to try Keto.
I can’t wait for Ketofest.

(Siobhan) #8

Also can’t wait for my boyfriend to have some extra money freed up, because he said when that happens he’ll be drastically cutting carbs. He’s already cut out beer. Yay!
