And I do mean literally scratch that itch.
About 8 years ago I got quiet badly bitten about 7 times along my shoulder blade by a horse fly, it got caught inside my clothes. Treated it straight away but it took over 5 months to actually go away. It was at that bit of my back I couldn’t reach and was depending on my husband to treat it and tell me how it looked. Every now and then the itch on it flares up again, particularly if I am having a histamine reaction to something else, which I am now. I’ve three small bites elsewhere and my horsefly bite is itchy again. Well without thinking I reached around to scratch it and I can reach it , the simple joy of being able to scratch my back is amazing.

Ah, yes! Love those unexpected moments when we realize what we are now capable of! Well done!

That’s great.
It’s pretty cool when you discover something that you couldn’t do before but suddenly is possible again. Especially when it was never thought of as a goal to begin with.
Mine was clipping my own toenails again.
