I ate this Sugar Free chocolate today

I have been craving something sweet since I started Keto couple weeks ago. Tried baking Keto Chocolate brownies - was a disaster- not good at baking. I wonder why stores don’t sell Keto baked goods - I would surely buy! Well today I bought the Russell Stover sugar free pecan chocolate - yum! Is it ok to eat one a day? Pics

How did you feel about food after? Did you feel satisfied? Did it set up a craving/longing for dessert? Will everyday be focused on the piece of candy?

There is alot of sweetener there, one ingredient: “natural flavor” is another name for sugar, the sugar alcohol of maltitol causes some people insulin responses, and artificial flavors isn’t so good. Sucralose, another sweetener, can trigger insulin response. Sugar alcohols in general are some people’s poison.
There are ongoing discussions about those ingredients. I think they tend to keep one craving sweet. But you would need to check your blood glucose after eating them to see how you are responding.

Good luck with your experiment!

Is it out of your system? Yes? Then all good

The word “craving” says it all. I would advise you stay away from sweets until those cravings are better under control. And there are better choices you could make after you’ve been keto for a while - ones without all the additives and without maltitol. It won’t take near as much “sweet” to satisfy you if you stay away from these fake foods and concentrate on eating healthy for a while. Then you can “dip a toe in the water” and see how you do.

I agree with others that say cut out all sweets, but this recipe helps sweet cravings and gets in a little extra fat at the same time! Super easy. If you don’t have the mini muffin stuff, just pour in a container and keep in fridge and eat a spoonful at a time!

Push through and beat the addiction properly. Your body will thank you for it.

Addition to my post. I use a different recipe but mostly the same except it just uses cocoa (couldn’t find it again online and just took a screen shot the first time that is very blurry).

I would be a bit careful, lots of carbs, 17 net carbs, I’m assuming per serving.

The sugar cravings will eventually go away, give it a little more time.
