I ate paprika potatoes chips, is it that bad?

(Bella) #1

Hi,

I eat some chips (no sugar added), is it that bad for my diet ?

(bulkbiker) #2

What do you think?

(Bella) #3

I really don’t know, I just started last week :frowning:

(bulkbiker) #4

Have you checked on the carbohydrate content of the potato chips you ate?

('Jackie P') #5

Lol you need the joke section I think😂

(Bella) #6

Yes, 5g of carbs vs 34 of fat

(bulkbiker) #7

5 g of carb per packet or per the portion you ate or…?

#8

Meat and eggs are you new best friends. Just keep it under 20 carbs. Starch is not good for ketosis. You may want to down load an app like carb manager to track your diet

#9

I think he asked what you think

Sorry if you have just started you just need to do some research. Read, read and read some more. Good luck on your new journey

Yes I know I’m trying to get the OP to make their own decisions and to start to think about the food they are eating rather than just give an answer. That way they can make more sensible decisions…

(Bella) #12

I understand, thank you for all of your answers. I am still not used to this diet ! I am a little scared of counting too much and make it unhealthy for my mental. But thank you, I will not eat chips again for a long time

(bulkbiker) #13

The main theme of this way of eating is keeping carbohydrate foods down to a minimum (ideally fewer than 20g per day) you probably don’t need to count anything other than that at the start. Restrict carbs and eat foods that contain plenty of fat and protein and you probably won’t go far wrong. Also there is a whole section for newbies to this way of eating so maybe read through some of the threads and chats there.

If you crave chips try “Whisps” which are actually cheese crisps cooked just like thicker chips. They are expensive, about $3 for a small bag. But they are good.

Two servings in the bag and only 2 carbs per serving — 4 carbs in the entire bag. But doesn’t last long. I use them more like crackers than chips.

Something to consider.

By the way, you can make similar items just by nuking chunks of cheese for a few minutes. They bubble and brown up. Just let them cool and harden.

Pork skins are your friend!!

You need information in life to help you along. Please read the nutrition information so you can make informed decisions. It’s not being mental to know what you’re eating. How can you expect yourself to be successful if you don’t?

Fry them till brown they make a good snack. You put spices on them but watch the ingredients. Some spices have a carb in them
