I am up again... was it the alcohol on saturday?

So I was doing so good!! Got my blood monitor was doing really good… have not cheated but I did have a few drinks… 0 calorie 0 carb mixer with vodka during the football game on saturday…

so today I am up 2 pounds!

Why does this happen? Is it the alcohol? Not enough leafy greens? I did slack on my veggies, maybe too much meat, cheat, pork rinds and cream cheese at the football party?

It’s the alcohol. I gain 2lbs each time. It is water and will be gone in 2 days if you stay keto.

It’s def the alcohol! Everytime I drink it takes me days to recover. Bloated, crave sweets(which I never crave), and I retain water😑 it amazes me that for some keto and drinking it fine! Others it wrecks everything

Carbohydrates (of which alcohol is one) are known to promote water-retention. Enjoy your drinks and don’t worry about it.

Lucky you and me!! I read so many post of people saying they were able to drink low carb etc. and kept losing weight… I guess not me!! So frustrating… thanks for responding… I will try and stay away this weekend but the following weekend is my 30 year hs reunion… so…

I will try… but I will also try and not drink this weekend!! I will see how long it takes to get me back down… seems like I am slowing my loss by drinking… if I had not drank… I may be few more pounds down by now vs. up?
