I had to go out tonight unexpectedly
On the way home I got two double cheeseburgers add bacon from McDonald’s but didnt eat the buns…
How do i calculate my macros now?
Im glad I’m not even craving the carbs but I’m upset that I resulted to fast food I now cannot calculate?
How to calculate the macros for bunless mcdonalds burger?
Just go to their website. Here’s a quarter pounder with all ingredients but the burger removed.
Edit: Can’t find a way to get a double cheeseburger and add bacon to it.
On the website there is a nutrition calculator and you can subtract the ingredients you didn’t have and add the ones you did. Go to the menu item and click customize. The double minus ketchup and bun is 5 carbs. You can check carbs on the bacon McDouble and add 2 carbs for additional cheese. I am not aware of any fiber to be subtracted as pickles are negligible. Whatever the carb content says is what it is, unless you had lettuce or something that adds fiber. I get doubles when I am out and just pull the bun off, but after learning how high they were in carbs compared to the quarter pounder I am going to switch to that from now on.
Oh my lord. 10 carbs! Im obviously not in the good habit of calculating very well. Shit. I’m australian and I didn’t think our site allowed you to calculate but ill check it out now. Thank you!
it might not. I just know off hand that it was 5 ea and last time I ate them I calculated 12 carbs because I didn’t tell them no Ketchup. I looked it up and had the same OH SHIT 12 carbs. After that I was like well I need to pick something else. A Quarter Pounder has less and is more filling.
Check the website, I think the burgers are just a bit different in different Countries, the UK website shows bunless and plain (no sauces, pickles etc) as 2.7g each
On MFP app, you can get the macros there as well for McDonalds and what you ordered
Just get the single, double, or triple ( like the hamburger below, 3 carbs )
So, order the Hamburger or cheeseburger ( I do not eat cheese ) ONLY
One tip or note:
Order no bun and no ketchup ( has sugar )
You can add xtra Pickles or mustard too
Or byom …bring ur own mustard packets
MFP is great, but a lot of the data is wrong. Always try to go back to the source if you can for nutritional info.
The nutritional info on MFP is entered by users just like us…unfortunately some of them have made mistakes.
(I’ll do a lot of corrections when I have the items in my cupboard).
Any online dB with public input is full of bad data. You have people so impatient and so CICO-centric that they only input calories; an item with no protein, no carbs, & no fat is 875 calories? Really? An item like that can really screw up your carb count. I like that Cronometer indicates the source of the data. If it says CRDB it’s suspect; NCCDB is most reliable; UPC means someone scanned a label, so you at least get info as accurate as the package.
+1 - really wish it was mandatory everywhere that manufacturer’s publish their Potassium numbers too. That’s happening here in Canada, but it really should be everywhere. Maybe Magnesium should be there too.
These nutrients are too important to not publish the data for everyone!
