How much for a meal

I have been doing an if and having 2 meals . I am thinking of doing one meal for a bit and seeing if it starts weight loss rolling . I am wondering what is a good amount to eat but not over eat. I was thinking of 5 0z ground beef with a tablespoon of sour cream and 170 grams of cauliflower ( mashed ) with one tablespoon of butter one of heavy cream and one of sour cream . If too much? By how much if not enough fat any suggestions ?

As long as you are keeping your carbohydrate under 20 g/day, your insulin level will be low enought to permit fat to leave your fat cells and be metabolized. But the body also needs to be taking in enough calories, or it will lower energy expenditure to match caloric intake, requiring a further reduction in intake, and so forth. The key is to eat enough to convince our body that there is no famine going on, and the easiest way to do that is to eat to satiety.

You need a reasonable amount of protein, so as to spare your lean tissues, and since fat has a negligible effect on insulin, that makes it the safest source of calories to fuel the body’s energy needs. Don’t worry about eating a little too much; within reason, the body can adjust its energy expenditure to match, even wasting calories in the face of real abundance.

So eat when hungry, stop eating when no longer hungry, and don’t eat again until hungry again. The human body has spent the last 2,000,000 years refining how our hunger and satiety hormones work. Unless something is irremediably broken, it is safe to trust them.
