Amount of hrs of fasting for your body to start burning fat.
Doing this more for a quick weight loss/lean out.

This depends on a few factors.

  1. Are you currently keto?
  2. Are you fat adapted?

If you answered yes to this questions, then probably about 12-18 hours after your last meal, from my understand.

If anyone has a correction, please chime in!

Started the keto 2weeks ago
Fasting maximum 16-17 hrs daily now
Last meal 7:30pm eat again during lunch 12:30pm no carbs at all. But I need to know when exactly does the body start to burn the fat ?

When your insulin drops and you start making glucagon. 3-4 hrs if you are healthy

Wow, so after 4 hrs because I am healthy, the remaining 12 hrs I’m cutting fat. This is great news and very encouraging to continue this. Thanks friend.

If your body is fat adapted. That can take 4-6 weeks. You really should be concentrating on eating minimal carbs right now and LOTS of fat.
