How many days a week do most people fast?

I do 17 - 20 hour fasting most days (I was never one to eat breakfast or snack so this didn’t even seem like fasting to me), and I try to mix it up with a day or two on the weekends, when more social things are happening, of a small breakfast, then lunch and dinner.

I did try a 48 hour fast recently. It wasn’t too hard. I wanted to see what it was like. I was curious. I am meeting all my goals without extended fasting but it seems all the rage so I had to dip my toe in the water and try it. :slight_smile:

The fasting regime is different for everyone. I have started fasting 2x a week. Much easier to do while I’m at work. I started the fasting slow. Due to history of Low Bloodsugar. I’ve been strict Keto 80/20/5
Since April my weightloss been 32#

My husband has been on it since last Nov. Hes lost 65#!!! He was my inspiration! And has helped tremendously. I came on this forum looking for answers to some of my questions. And found so much. In the articles, and personal experiences. So nice to have the added support. This isnt my first rodeo. Been on every diet almost imaginable. And think this way of life will be forever. My blood sugar has leveled out. BP has steadied. And depression and anxiety is gone. Now all I need to worry about is finding some clothes that aren’t falling off. :grin:

There are no answers that apply for me. I fast about once a month, 1-2 days. There is no way to fit that in between your “never fast” and “1 day a week.” You are missing some categories.

I assumed fasting meant at least a full day without food. I put zero but in fact I IF daily and am mostly OMAD.
