I’ve been on strick keto for about a year and am very active. Starting last Thursday, I broke keto in only the most extreme way. Multiple burritos, cereal, chips, cookies, buns, candy. Basically everything in sight. I capped this episode with 4 bagels before bed last night. Any guesses on how long it will take before I break 1.5 on my blood monitor. (I will be painfully fasting)
How long until I'm back in ketosis? Any bets?
Too many variables…
What was your post binge Keto reading?
Are you fasting?
Are you exercising?
Are you taking ACV, other supplements like Leucine?
Are you taking MCT or other exogenous ketones?
How many carbs do you think you took in?
For context, I went from 3.9 before my meal last night… then did very heavy protein and dropped to 0.9 after… then back to 2.0 this morning…
After quickly googling some of the food I ate the number is probably closer to 2000g of carbs.
2 kg of carbs = 4.4 lbs of carbs… check the math?
Given that most foods have a high water content… that would have been close to 10 lbs of food?
I won’t have blood strips until later today via Amazon. Until then a simple urine strip will have to work. I imagine it will confirm that I’m still running on pillsbury inc.
3 slices of filipis pizza, 1 monster burrito and a quesadilla from primos Mexican cantinas. one California burrito and a bean rice and cheese burrito from Alberto’s. A double decker taco supreme, 1/2 lb cheesy bean and rice burrito, And a nacho taco from taco bell. 2 bags of churro treats, a bag of Carmel corn 5 chocolate chip cookies, a bowl of cinnamon treats cereal, a granola bar and 4 onion bagels from trader Joe’s. 5 bowls of ciniman toast crunch in milk. 2 ballpark Frank’s with bun. Checks out to me… I could be forgetting things but it was the binge of a lifetime.
Omg! Were you ill?
I have seen your before and after photos, go careful xx😚
No need to obsess and make yourself miserable. Is there a rush (medical need) to get back into ketosis quickly? A tip is to make sure that you are not stressing yourself out, making yourself deprived and stressed, so that you end up repeating behaviors (carbohydrate binges) that you would rather avoid. That is just my take.
To answer your question, my wager is that you will be back into ketosis by tomorrow morning.
