How long do I need keto aide, and not feeling full

(Debbie Fojtik) #1

I’ve been doing keto since the beginning of October. I drink homemade keto aide every day. How long do I need to keep drinking it.
Also, some days I feel like I cannot get enough even though my macros are where I want them, and I’m taking in enough calories. What do you do when you don’t feel full.

For as long as you need the supplementation. I’m still using it.

Eat more.

FWIW, I take Magnesium supplements and use the Morton’s Lite Salt to get my potassium and sodium. It doesn’t have to be mixed into water. I still benefit from taking those.

I agree with juice here… eat more. Supplementing with electrolytes is a good idea. Whether on keto for 2 weeks or 2 years

I would like to add a question. I’ve been on keto only 6 days and finally at day 4 I wasn’t starving. Today in back to starving. Wht the up and down? Does this eventually stabilize?

I’d say yes, mostly. OTOH, I’m months in and the last couple of days I’ve been weirdly hungry. So yeah, I’m going with “mostly,” because currently I have trouble eating ENOUGH on most days.

I had that same problem and everyone told me to eat more fat. I ate so much fat I was gaining weight and still hungry! I found, FOR ME, 1/4C of raspberries was my miracle; I would be calm and fully satiated for hours. I’ve been keto 2.5years and still use that same trick. It seems to reset something and make me feel fully satiated and energetic. Hope that helps.

Same here. But it’s not like it’s been a “I’m starved hunger” and I don’t crave carbs. It’s keto foods that I want. Maybe it’s because I plan out my meals ahead of time and the act of doing it makes me think of all the yummy things I will be eating later and knowing there’s a fat ribeye waiting for me gets my juices going.

Yeah, same.

6 days is nothing. Stick to it and re-evaluate after 6 weeks.
