How is it possible?

(Stephanie) #1

I skip breakfast and just have coffee. Thats about the only IF I do. How is it possible to fast for so many days? I’m 4 weeks in, When do you get to that point?

Give it time

Tell us more. Your current state, how long keto, what do you eat, what are your goals

I’m really just trying to stick with the basics.
Drink plenty of water, high fats, Low carb and I make sure to get veggies in every meal. I’m not ever really hungry enough to snack. Goal is to be 140.

Veggies in every meal - meh. No science behind veggies being essential
How long have you been keto? Are you eating enough daily to satiety?

(Stephanie) #7

Been on around 4 weeks.

Fat adaptation is where most people are when they are able to fast so long. There is no reason to force extended fasting either. It’s not about restricting calories by fasting either. Fat adaptation can take 6-8 weeks on average but, it can take a lot longer for others to get into it. Just keep eating, focus on fat to satiety. And, if you aren’t hungry, don’t eat.

It really is an individual thing.
I’m on day 11, carbed out for the last two days as I was really sick and just couldn’t be bothered.
Found I still lost 100grams.
I have a BPC at 8am, it is now 1pm and I am only just becoming hungry.
