How high is too high for non-diabetic?

So I am new to keto lifestyle and was wondering how high is too high for your ketone levels? I was show in ketosis using keto-mojo after 9 days. Going on week 3 and my ketones are 5.1 mmol/L. I’ve seen the graphs on optimal levels and other posts on this site as well as other sites. Is it going to fluctuate like this until my body adapts? I am definitely noticing ththe difference though. I have more energy, can work out and work around the house longer, and the best part is I have lost 20lbs since I started.

Don’t fret the ketone levels. Just control carbs and all is fine

Though I can’t speak from direct personal experience. Since going Keto Halloween 2017 I have not

  • counted calories
  • tracked macros, or even calculated macros
  • measured ketones

I am a carb Nazi, but still if I want to have the Costco sized bag of macadamias - I do it. If I wanna scoop out some peanut butter with my finger - I do

I’m guessing I average under 10 gms carbs a day. Also guessing my protein varies from 50 to 150gms, depending on the day.

I just KCKO, KCFO and never have cheat non keto days.

And I am happy with my progress and control over my eating

Don’t stress, it’s fine. Your body is still adjusting. Highest I’ve had is 7.6mmol.
