How does "true hunger" feel to you?

I’m wondering how individuals experience “true hunger”. I’m unsure I’ve actually experienced it yet. When I fast beyond 24 hours I get a compression-type pain in my skull. At 48 hours, I start to feel physically empty and lighter and have a surge in energy. I haven’t gone beyond 72 hours yet. Right now I have about 27% body fat so I assume I could fast much longer if I overcame the compression feeling in my skull. I’m guessing the skull pain is not true hunger. How do you experience true hunger?
