I’ve never done crowd funding… have you ? So I think basically you would either get the product by then, or your money back ? Isn’t that how crowd funding works ?
Its only $80… which seems worth it, but a several month wait. Hmmm.
For now, I’m going to pick up the flame thrower torch from Harbor Freight for $20… But might pre-order this thing soon, if for nothing else other than just the “coolness” factor 
I think Indiegogo works differently than Kickstarter. Kickstarter doesn’t take money until the funding reaches its goal. I think Indiegogo charges you regardless. It would be worth looking for terms of service - although this one looks like it’s funded.
Another less expensive option is a propane Weed Burner. I use mine when I sear hair off a fresh pig’s head.

Yes, this is what I settled on. Mine was 28 because it had the electric spark starter.
