Hopefully not stalling

Been on keto for just over two weeks. Lost 6 lbs right of the bat, but I’ve teetered at the same weight almost a week now.

Although two nights ago I drank a Mich Ultra sixer… and then twice more on the following nights. No more than 6 beers though, I figured id be OK but guess not.

Cutting out all alcohol for now.

Hi,

Depending on how much you have to lose, your age and how much metabolic damage there is its quite common for a stall at this point. Your body is adapting to burning fat. Give it time, the keto diet is a long term commitment.

Beer is the worst kind of alcohol, pure carbs. Alcohol in general is empty calories.

Agreed… I guess im still searching to see how many vices I can retain while I do this. Losing weight and looking good is important, but my motivation is for cancer, I’ve been told if I can manage three cancer-free years, the probabilities are much greater that I’ve beat it for good.

Going back to my vices though. Before keto I might drink 1 cup of coffee a week… maybe twice. IN the last week though I’m up to two cups a day, maybe three… Anyone else find healthier ways to boost energy/mood?
