HoHowdy from Texas Y'All!

Good evening everyone…wanted to introduce myself.

I have been ‘clean eating’ for a couple of years now…then went onto Paleo diet…which has now led me to my new WOE…Keto…have to say - I absolutely love this new way of eating!

I am 57 years old…had 3 kids …and the body is not what it used to be…yikes!

I digress - I am so happy to follow this WOE as my father passed away a couple of years ago after struggling with T2D which led to him having multiple toes removed…blindness and finally succumbing to Alzheimers in his 70’s.

This is such a supportive and welcoming community and I have reading through all the post for quite a while now - guess that makes me a lurker!!!.

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for allowing me to become a member of this great group.

Welcome from another Texan (although I have moved to the midwest. - but I still speak a real good Texas twang, especially around another Texan!) ) Are you anywhere near where Hurricane Harvey hit? I hope not, but I would say someone who is doing keto would have a much easier time to do without food than someone doing high carbs. There are so many there that have been without electricity and food since it hit Friday.
