Hives, allergies

New to forums kind of new to keto/IF . I tried searching the forums for the help but I couldn’t find anything. Ioccasionally get hives from topical medications, paper wasp stings or random mystery reasons. I have a mystery breakout now. I have not changed anything recently, my carbs are probably to high right now to be in ketosis so I don’t think it is the keto rash. 80% of my meals are keto, I eat probably less than 80 g of carbs a day
Anyway back to the rash, It is just starting and i don’t want it to get to the point that I have to take prednisone again.(Did start taking allergy meds today) have any of you had experience with this situation? Do any of you know if fasting could help my body get rid of this or if I should jump back on the wagon and go straight keto, no cheating. I have done a 34 hr fast but nothing longer. I do not have a meter to check my glucose or ketones.

I used to get this (pre-keto) and eventually traced it back to supplements I was taking that contained silicone dioxide (often labeled as silica). Since avoiding anything containing this filler, I have had no problems at all and it’s been years now.

Hmmm, I will check my supplements but the only thing I take have been taking for a 18 months. I think it might be from my daughter’s meds. I spilled some on me the other day. But cleaned it off immediately and a day and a half later my body is freaking out.

When it was happening to me it seemed like it needed a few months to build up in my system, then the reaction flared - it was like poison ivy, always on my wrists / hands / fingers.

I hope you find the cause as I know how horrible it is.
