Hi there!

(Eve) #1

Hey all you neato keto people! I’m kinda new to the forums. I’ve been reading here and on the FB group for a while. I’m addicted to the 2 Keto Dudes podcast. Love those guys.

I started eating low carb about a month ago while I was obsessively reading about keto. I didn’t intend to start til yesterday because I knew I had a vacation coming up and didn’t want to beat myself up over possibly falling off the wagon. But I kind of slowly started eating keto anyways. I told myself I was just practicing, lol.

And when I did go on vacation, I didn’t do too bad! I just did “lazy keto”. Ate no sugar, grains, starches… But didn’t track anything. Now I’m officially keto. I’m measuring and tracking everything.

I’m excited about becoming fat adapted so I can start fasting. But I’m definitely not there yet. I have more than 100 lbs to lose. And I have PCOS.

I hope to become an active part of this forum and make lots of keto friends. My MFP name is EvieEden feel free to add me.

Hiya and welcome. I think that easing your way into keto is actually a good method. I did similar mostly because I had stuff to eat up and I hate waste! I think it makes the carb withdrawal transition a bit easier. Good luck with your keto travels and I look forward to hearing how your PCOS improves. x

I already have so much energy. I have been an snooze button junkie my whole life, if I had nothing to do I could easily sleep all day. But now I’m up before my alarm and am much happier.

I did have a little keto flu, but it was definitely an issue with electrolytes which I think I’ve figured out now.

Also, I’ve already seen PCOS improvements. I got my first real shark week in about 2 years!

This, I like. You get naming rights. Work it, girl.

Actually, this is a brilliant way to avoid the keto flu. That’s how I did it, anyway.
