Welcome Robert. Weight loss is great but correcting your glucose and getting off insulin is even better. Look forward to seeing you around.

Congrats, and welcome to the club!

My results are similar. In late 2016, my A1c was 7.3 while using both insulin and metformin. Since going keto in early 2017, my A1c has been as low as 5.2, without no diabetes medications. Keto has been a far better treatment of my T2 diabetes than the medications.

I’m always amused when I see T2 diabetes medications on TV. They all say, “…when used with diet and exercise…”. No doubt. A placebo might work for most people along with “diet and exercise”.

Congrats! Great job. I try to tell family or friends (if the subject comes up) that Keto can reverse diabetes. I’ve seen proof on this forum and it’s amazing. The people I talk to though, it’s like they can’t believe it or, don’t want to believe it because it means giving up sweets. I’m happy for you. You are taking back control of your life. Enjoy it!
