Hey y’all, I’m baaaack!

Hey everybody, I missed you guys!

Wow, did I ever take a break! Didn’t mean to drop off the planet like I did!

I lost 71lbs on keto, got lazy with it and found 40 of those pounds again. This is the first day of me back on the wagon. At this point I don’t even care about getting to 125, I would be thrilled just to lose those 40lbs again.

Just did 9 miles on the bike. Son did 6, so I had to beat him. Goal was 10 but my butt was soooo sore by the time I got to 9 and that was with sitting on a cushion! Anyway, now he has to get back on the bike cuz I irked him by beating his 6 miles, haha.

Going to try to do zero carb. I know I won’t actually succeed at zero but aiming for 20 always means I end up at 30 or 40, so maybe aiming for zero will keep me at 10 or so.

Hang in there everybody, you know this lifestyle works! Just beware of “breaks”!

Welcome back, Sharon!! I for one have missed you (as I am sure several others have as well) and am thrilled to see you back.

Wow, 9 miles on a bike is absolutely fantastic, that is awesome =). Congrats!!

Hey Susan, how have you been doing?

Oh btw, I bleached my hair yesterday and then dyed it smurf blue. I don’t know what’s gotten into me, lol.

Welcome back, and I love your hair!

Thank you! It’s thinning on top so I need to get some gel or something and comb it forward so that it doesn’t stick up and expose my scalp. Sucks getting old.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #6

But as my grandmother used to say, consider the alternative.

Wise words. Glad you are back!

I am petrified of going off keto because of my for real addiction to carbage, bingeing and stuffing myself until I am about to bust. Keto has cured that. If I am hungry in between meals now, I reach for a piece of bacon or hard boiled egg. One or two pieces of bacon, a slice of pepperoni or hard boiled egg is enough to satisfy me without awakening that compulsion to binge, which is what carbage would do. I spent a lifetime being out of control and having guilt and shame about food and weight be something that was always present in my mind. Yeah, so I don’t eat pasta, ice cream sundaes, bread, crackers, cookies, etc. anymore - small trade-off to live life without obsessing about food while still enjoying every meal (one meal a day), and being an acceptable weight where I’m not afraid to go out in public.
