Help reading pudding label

I don’t really have a sweet tooth but found this for a treat . It’s simply delish pudding. It gives the info for the dry ingredients and 1/4 of the box. I have to add sugar free almonds milk which is a little more than an extra carb (11/4cup). My question is if the label says for dry ingredients do I just use the macros for 1/4 of the made pudding

That .1 g fat and 4g carb is in 1/4 of the package of dry mix. Say you mix in 1 cup of almond milk, you would add the relevant info for 1/4 cup almond milk to each serving. Some puddings will have stats for mixed with skim milk (usually, since it’s assumed we all want low fat food!) but it’s easy to figure it out yourself!

Since that’s just the information for the dry mix you have to mentally add whatever liquid you mix with it (the carbs in your almond milk)

Thanks but my question is if they give you the dry info( 1/4 of box) . When I make the pudding would I use the same info adding the milk be the same for 1/4 or the finished pudding . It’s a lot of carbs but I’m usually around 10 carbs . Most other labels give you the finished product

I’m not totally sure what you’re asking. The dry ingredient info on the label is for 1/4 of the mix. Once you have turned that into pudding, it will be the information for 1/4 of the pudding created. You would take nutritional info for a quarter of the liquid you use, and add that to the single serving info on the packet to come up with complete nutritional info for a quarter of the pudding. It will probably be around 1/4 cup of pudding if 1 cup of milk or other liquid is added.

If you post a picture of the almond milk label one of us will help you calculate the carbage. It may be easier for you to understand with the labels side by side as well.

Consider your pudding a “recipe.” You have to add the total carbs for all the ingredients.

Thanks , I never saw a label like that and it’s what I thought but wanted to make sure . I made the strawberry pudding with sugar free almonds milk and it is delicious. With almost milk about 75 ml of pudding is between 4-5 carbs but a nice treat

Thanks again

There are four servings per box. If you make a pudding using the whole box, then you muliply the serving values by 4 and add in the values for the amount of milk used. From there, you calculate how much you actually eat.

So a pudding made from this box will contain 4 x 4 grams = 16 total grams of carbohydrate. Say you add another 4 grams in the milk. That is a total of 20 grams in the entire pudding, and if you eat half a pudding, you will be getting 10 grams of carbohydrate.

Ingredients are listed in order of amount, highest being listed first. Since starch is listed first is has the highest occurrence. Starch kicks me out of keto so no pudding for me. Make sure you check ingredients to make sure there isn’t sneaky stuff in there youre missing.

I did look but didn’t think of starch , never crossed my mind . Thanks was looking for sweeteners and how much
