Hi, I’m new here too, well done on the weight loss, could I trouble you to what your days menu is please, ?

Typical day is leftover dinner at 1:00 PM. Dinner is usually some kind of one-dish wonder. Tonight is hamburger stroganoff on zoodles. Usually have a couple drinks before and after dinner and some peanuts around 9:00.

Also, I usually swim about 2,000 yards from 7:45 to 8:45 in the morning.

Hamburger strogonoff, I’ll have to have a look at that , I’m tending to eat a lot of chicken thighs at moment, they’re fairly cheap, do you mean alcoholic drinks ? I have gin but wonder whether I should or not, I bought some of them keto sticks to see if if knocked me out of keto I does a bit, but you sound like your getting on well with a bev or two

Hi, Arry.

Yes, rum and diet coke before dinner, gin and diet tonic after. Alcohol has no effect on blood sugar, so I’m able to drink and still lose weight. I’m sure the swimming helps.

I will probably start sharing some recipes soon. I have a lot of good keto-friendly recipes I’ve refined over the past 5 months. Chicken stir-fry, Mediterranean chicken, London broil with special salad, street tacos, mojo chicken (tomorrow), sausage and cabbage, red, green or yellow curry, shrimp alfredo, etc. I post what I cook in my Instagram story every night. I started cooking nightly at the beginning of 2024 when my wife took a job 45 minutes away.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #8

The hard stuff is significantly lower in carbohydrate than wine, and especially beer (also known as "liquid bread).

Be warned, however: most ketonians find that alcohol has a much more pronounced effect on them than it did before they started keto, so be careful with the quantity.

I have noticed that. I am pouring significantly lighter drinks than I did at 222 lbs.
