Hello! I’m new to this community

Hey everyone! I’m new here. My mom actually got me interested in keto because she started following it and I kept seeing all the keto products and shakes she was using.:slightly_smiling_face: That’s pretty much how I started learning about it.

I’m still figuring things out, so I thought I’d join and see what everyone here has to say about it.

Welcome!

I have been keto for over 8 years now and love it.

Hi Noah, welcome to the forum. If you decide you are interested in following a keto diet, I would suggest only using whole, natural foods as much as possible, and very little of the keto products and shakes. While one keto product could technically be keto, you eat enough of them (which usually means more than one) and you will easily go over the carb limit of 20-30 grams of carbs per day.

@Noah Great to have you join the forum. Lots of great info and camaraderie to be found here. Let us know how you’re doing from time to time. :vulcan_salute:

Yeah, I agree with that. I’d definitely start with whole, minimally processed foods and not rely too much on keto products or shakes. From a training standpoint, getting the basics right with your food first usually makes things a lot simpler. The products can be convenient, but they shouldn’t be the main part of the diet.

Thanks for the advice!

When I can’t figure out what I want to eat, I usually scramble me a couple of eggs in butter or saved bacon grease. Takes all of 5 minutes LOL. I have my own hens so always have eggs on hand and they are delicious!

Honestly, you can’t really go wrong with eggs when you need something quick. And having your own hens means you’ve got the fresh stuff ready to go whenever you want. I’m a little jealous of that setup!
