Hello from Houston

(Craig ) #1

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to keto. I’ve always done paleo and I kind of got bored with it so this yr I’m giving the keto lifestyle a try. Been on it for a week now and so far so good. I have yet to experience any type of flu like symptoms. Hopefully that holds true.

Welcome aboard!

If flu symptoms ever hit, take a hit of electrolytes (sodium/potassium). Depending on how you did paleo, you might not get any flu symptoms.

Hey Houston neighbor. I’m down the road in Katy.

Just wondering… what are your goals with keto?

Texans all up in here. :cowboy_hat_face:

were you asking me what my goals were

No, it was directed to OP but you can tell me your goals if you want.

My goals are to lose weight and be ready for the summer. I know its not healthy but I usually do good the first half of the yr losing weight, eating right, and staying active but I always put weight back on the second half of the yr. Its just a routine I have been comfortable with since 2013. I always start the yr off with a strict paleo diet and zero adult bevs but, one the summer time comes around it goes out the window. We wakeboard almost every weekend so I tend to maintain pretty well up until October. Deer season is where it gets real tough. LOL. When I started a week ago I was 262. as of last night I’m at 253. I’m thinking most of it is water weight.
