Hello and Help!

Hello fello Keto’s :hugs:
I need some advice from you pros. I started Keto January 2nd after much research. I dabbled before but I’m 100% committed now.

I’ve lost one pound. I have my macros set at 60/35/5. I’ve been really good at hitting my fat and staying under on my net carbs. I’m struggling with my protein lately.

I have a Bullet Proof coffee every AM and I IF.

What is going on here?

More FAT, Less protein.

Not really enough info go to by. Without an idea of your overall weight, height, foods you are eating, salt, etc., there isn’t much advice that can be given. Women also tend not to lose weight so fast and instead seem to turn fat into bone density early.

5’2”, 136.

My first meal is normally an egg with an avocado with olive oil on the avo. Lunch is normally smoked salmon or tuna over a salad with bacon, dinner is a Keto dinner I’ll make out of one of the cook books I bought.

Yesterday my fat was 114 grams, protein 52 grams ans carbs were 7.

Congrats, your BMI is within the (top of the )normal range. You won’t likely lose a ton of weight fast on any diet. Give it more time, but don’t expect to lose 20 pounds in a month.

I’m looking to lose around 10 pounds. Any advice? Thank you!

KCKO! Up the salt, up the fat… intermittent fast

I agree with Rusty - higher ratio of fat, lower protein.

You can also (over time) experiment with different lengths of IFs - 16/8, 20/4, 24 hr (the latter is just eating dinner every night)

Welcome! It took me 6 weeks to become fat adapted (able to use body fat for fuel) even though I was already pretty low carb to start with. Keto is a process, give it time to heal you while you enjoy this amazing food
