I am wondering if this is due to higher levels of cortisol during fasting.

I hadn’t considered this … but I will now. It’s definately was there for me. Along with a general alertness and as someone here said, ‘a feeling of euphoria’ .
Also I lost 1kg … I’ve had an extra 2kg still hanging on.
