Heavy whipping cream without additives

(Lynda) #1

I can’t find any heavy whipping cream without additives like carrageenan and gum around me. Do you know of any HWC’s without additives?

Lynda, I don’t know where you live, but here in the pacific northwest we can usually find pure HWC with no additives at natural food markets, such as Whole Foods, and other similar type stores, It’s not cheap, but this is one area I am willing to pay extra for the real deal. I hope you are able to find what you are looking for in your area.

I am in Dallas and have access to those stores. They’re just farther away.
I hate driving. :joy:

So I swung by Trader Joe’s today and had your question in mind. Asking the staff, they believe that the Trader Joe’s brand is carrageenan free. For comparison I took a picture of their brand’s label and another brand of heavy whipping cream next to it that had carrageenan listed on the label. Hope this helps.

Thank you kindly

We have a local farm store that just started carrying HWC. It’s only $8 for a half gallon! That’s cheaper than Horizon from Costco which has junk in it.

Do you have a Publix near you? Their Greewise brand has no additives
