I have had a look at Boots web site (A major UK chemist chai of stores) which sell bough these products ad it states the following
Minoxidil
It’s a topical treatment, available over the counter, that comes in a range of formats including liquid, foam or spray and is applied directly to the scalp to encourage hair to grow
https://www.boots.com/healthhub/mens-health/male-pattern-baldness/minoxidil?srsltid=AfmBOooKdsD7Iixi6PwYycdzzvjDwK6rTZkdEJzBREUiKRsP4NgXs4jl
So it says that you apply it to the scalp, dose that work well or not? because where i want to apply it my hair is 2" long and will get i the way
Finasteride
Clinical studies have shown that when taken as a daily tablet, Finasteride has proven to be effective in reducing the progression of hair loss in approximately 80-90% of men who use it. Additionally, some men may experience hair regrowth, especially if they start taking Finasteride as soon as they notice signs of hair loss.

So hear they are saying that it only prevents hair loss and it may only give some regrowth? is it really for regrowth of hair or just hair loss prevention?
Thanks
