Hear regrowth, Minoxidil vs Finasteride

I have had a look at Boots web site (A major UK chemist chai of stores) which sell bough these products ad it states the following

Minoxidil

So it says that you apply it to the scalp, dose that work well or not? because where i want to apply it my hair is 2" long and will get i the way

So hear they are saying that it only prevents hair loss and it may only give some regrowth? is it really for regrowth of hair or just hair loss prevention?

There’s no vs. they do totally different things.

Minoxidil acts as a vasodilator, which helps blood flow to the scalp/folicles. It can “Wake up” dormant follicles that aren’t dead, but aren’t growing either.

Finasteride blocks DHT at the follicles (only use topically). It’s the combo that does it, that’s IF your hair loss is due to Male Pattern Baldness.

No it won’t, you apply it with a dropper to the scalp, not to the hair.

Neither work preventative, Finasteride can slow down further loss but it won’t do anything if you’re not actively losing it from androgens. Minoxidil is the one that helps regrow it. When you start, you’ll lose more as the Minoxidil speeds up the hair growth cycles, which is normal.

If you want to grow it back quicker, look into RU58841, then in a few months fall back to the Min/Fin combo to try to maintain it.

So you are saying I should purchase bough right? if so how long should I take them for? is 6 month enough?

I bough something from a health shop not so long ago (can remember name of product) but it was a droplet and i could not get it on my scalp it just stayed on my hair

Yes, using only one is only going after half the problem.

Put the dropper on your scalp, slowly squeeze the bulb as it drips while you drag it across your scalp in that area. Wouldn’t matter if your hair went to your waist, it’ll be on your scalp.

This is the Min/Fin combo

Or you can just buy normal brand Rogaine (or generic) at the store and buy the RU powder, and dump the Minoxidil into that and get both that way.

The RU grows it back the fastest, but nobody knows what if any long term downsides there may be, so many people cycle it, and then go back to Min/Fin.

I got real bad once, regrew a TON in like 3mo! If you’re dealing with bad loss, I’d have to dig them up (in the phone somewhere) but could send you pics of how nuts that stuff was in that short of time.

That’s the stuff, but it’s also almost double the price of what I listed, that ones your call. Yours is 30ml vs the one I listed at 60ml and the price is incredibly close.

You’d run the Minoxidil either way, the RU would take the place of Finasteride while you’re using it. When trying to regrow hair (typically) it’s about 6mo before you really make a call on if it’s working or not. RU works faster than normal, but still idea to give it some time.

I’ve never seen Minoxidil not come with a dropper, but you could always grab one so you could apply it. Also never seen it in a glass bottle, that’s kinda weird. It’s almost always 1ml/dose.

so to clarify; you run the Minoxidil and the RU together until the RU runs out. then run the Minoxidil together with the Finasteride

Most Intl websites default to USD, on the Shipping page pick your country and the price will convert. Or don’t, that’s up to you, but the one you listed is almost double in price.

Correct, you can run the RU for a couple cycles, I just wouldn’t do it super long term, then swap it out for the Finasteride.

I looked again at there web site and they charge $9.95 shipping to the UK. But I was unable to find there address, meaning that they could be anywhere in the world! That is not a problem in the short as you are coved by visa cards 120 money back policy, but in the long run say, example 1 is you bough something on ebay and 6 months later it packed up, how do you get a refund or replacement? because these hair products take between 3-6 months to work due to the hair regrowth cycles. Example 2 is that you can sell fake sovereign gold coins from Dubai all day long! there goverment litrally dont care about copywrite (so long as the gold content is right)

Have you bough off of them before or know of there reputation and where they are based?

Been buying from them for years, they’re very well known in the hair loss community. No clue where they actually are, whatever country you’re in, is going to be where it comes from, they all do re-shipping.

They’re selling prescription stuff out in the open, so they’re not going to put up too much info. Welcome to the gray market.

So if I buy the $60 RU-Dema bottle from them along with the $40 EssenGen-6 Plus. The $40 bottle says it is Minoxidil+Finasteride. Dose that mean it is Minoxidil+Finasteride all ready mixed up ready to go?

If that is the case and I use up the RU first then I will need to buy some Minoxidil from somewhere to run along side with it at first. Should this one be OK?

The RU Derma is the RU ready to go (by itself) I’d save the money and get the RU Powder, $15 cheaper. Since you’d run the Min+Fin or Min+RU, you can take your Minoxidil and dump that into the RU and you’re already up and running.

You can buy the Minoxidil anywhere, every pharmacy and drug store on the planet sells it, just price it all out and do what combo works best money wise. Just get the liquid and not the foam if you buy it in person somewhere.

You run Minoxidil either way, on top of that, it’s either RU, or Finasteride. You can flip flop, do 1,2,3 mo of RU, that’s really up to you, there’s no real rules on that other than most of us just don’t run RU indefinitely, you (can) do that with Finasteride though (when it’s topical, which you’d be doing).

Minoxidil (only) from them will be more expensive than buying it in real life at a store (or Amazon), so when you do that, I’d just get that yourself. Once you go to their blends with Finasteride, ya, go with them.

You could get the RU powder only (cheaper), dump your Minoxidil into it, and you’re good to go.
