So I’ll be honest, I had watched many of Souse Vide Everything, with Guga, Ninja, and Mua Mua. Love these guys. Great vids.
But in many of these vids, Guga added butter to his Souse Vide bags… And following that advice, I had added butter to my first couple Souse Vide cookings… The most recent of which was the best steak I’ve ever cooked !
But then I saw this vid and I’m probably as surprised as the SVE crew ! Hmmm. Live and learn I guess…
Oh, and one more thought comes to mind… Although cooking SV with butter in the bag, might change the way that it cooks, or dilute the steaks flavor, why couldn’t one just put some butter right on top of the finished product ? For some reason, I seem to remember my father doing this when I was a small child. He was a BBQ master, and he did put real butter on everything. Wish I could have showed him SV. He died when I was 11…
