I love KETCHUP!!! that’s where its hard. I put it on my bacon, eggs, sausage, pizza. Even the low carb kind has lots of carbs. Is there anyone in this boat.?

My mother in law puts ketchup on everything, she’s weird. Gotta cut that stuff out, it’s loaded with no good things!

Heinz makes a 75% less sugar version that I used for a little while before the cravings subsided. Pretty low carb for what it is (tomatoes and sugar). When I was a kid I would eat ketchup like pudding. Now I’ve fallen in love with sour cream. It’s my new ketchup. It goes on/with everything. I find it’s also good as an ice cream replacement.

I’ve used a smear of tomato puree on a burger this week. It tasted as sweet as ketchup used to. :yum:

I’d experienced this before, with veg, but tomato puree is really acidic, so it was a big surprise how sweet it tasted.

Not sure where you are located but EarthFare has some lower carb ketchups. Can’t remember the brands, sorry.

I have a fake version and I’m working on round 2.

Just Red Wine Vinegar and 1/4 cup erythritol is pretty close. Tangy sweet.

Needs maybe some tamarind, salt and xanthum gum for a little body. Tamari?
