Greetings!

Hello to all fellow Keto-ers!

I was initiated into Keto, primarily,by podcasts of both the keto dudes, hence, to both I owe a debt of eternal gratitude for helping out me onto the track of a healthier lifestyle.

I started on 31.01.18 at 121.8 kilos. My height is 6’. Family history of cardio vascular disease and diabetes. So I guess I wasn’t very far from contracting diabetes myself and related conditions.

On April 14, I weighed in at 102.7 kilos. Seem to have hit a weight loss plateau though (haven’t lost Abby weight in the last 16 days) so plan to start exercising soon.

Look forward to being on these forums.

Thank you.

Greetings. I started at 266 which is right around where you started. I’m 227, which is right where you are. Lot of ways to break stalls, but 16 days isn’t necessarily a stall.

Welcome!

Congratulations on your weight loss, Manpreet! That is amazing! I’ve plateaued too, so I’m experimenting with extended fasting. I’m hoping it gets me moving again. I’m relatively new to the forum too, and so far I’ve found it to be friendly, helpful and supportive.

Thank you, Mary!

Yes, I too am intermittent fasting regularly to break out of what I perceive to be a plateau. Tried my first longish fast last week (70 hours - water) Didn’t really have a problem. Ended it because I had to travel. But yes, certainly looking forward to sharing and learning from experiences of similarly situated folks on here

Hi there!

I suppose one gets greedy with seeing the weighing scale move favourably over a span of two months, so much so that one starts believing it shall last, ad infinitum! I guess I’m going to have to work harder, if this is a stall. Or it’s nature’s way of telling me to ease into a regular fasting routine henceforth!

Seriously… It’s been about a third of a pound a day, averaged over the whole span. I was expecting to stall about 2 kilos heavier than where I am. There’s a lot of information around here about stalls, with lots of different ideas. If we believe that it’s a matter of our insulin sensitivity, the exercise should help.

Welcome to the forum.

Plateaus are always interesting discussion material.
I am interested in knowing what your typical day of food is.
Sometimes people are consuming hidden carbs and don’t know it.
Consistency is crucial, keep calm and keto on.
