Gluten and almond insensitivity - bread recipe

(ShowMeTheKeto) #1

I would like to make a keto bread without almond flour as my daughter is insensitive to gluten and almond. Can anyone help me out?

Would it make sense to add a subcategory for insensitivities?

I enjoy “oopsie” bread as a great alternative for sandwich bread and English muffins and they are made from eggs, cream cheese and baking powder as a base.

There are also countless recipes for low carb breads that use flax meal and/or coconut flour rather than almond flour.

One of my favorite keto “bread” recipes is here:

She uses Almond butter in her demonstration but as she mentions, any but butter can be used. I think coconut or hazelnut butter would be quite delicious.

This bread is pretty good. Look for Let’s Do Organic Creamed Coconut (Target carries it now) because it’s MUCH less expensive than other brands of coconut butter.

Here is another one. I’ve made this a few times.

I made this for thanksgiving to use for stuffing. It was tasty, thought it would be good toasted.

Here is another recipe. It’s been a while but I recall it turned out nice.

Thanks everyone, I’ll try them out!

I love this recipe - I made it a couple weeks ago and it’s perfect for breakfast with eggs!
