Getting back on the keto horse

(Mychal Torres) #1

Started keto in November but was slightly derailed by the holidays. Now it’s time to get back on the horse and ride it to the new healthier me. I want to thank everyone for all of the great posts I’ve seen so far and all of the future advise I will get.

I tough to start back up, but I know it will be worth it in the long run.

I put on about 3lbs over Christmas and NY, but now firmly back on the horse. I always just try and keep the big picture in my mind and focus on my goals. A small blip along the way isn’t going to deter me from reaching those goals.

KCKO!

I gained nothing in the lead up to Christmas despite serious festive carb splurges and thought I was invincible. I truly went off the rails on Christmas day and by 1st Jan , I was 5lb up! Got myself in gear yesterday and feel so happy to be back on keto. So excited about 2018. Lessons have been learnt. No regrets, just gratitude.
Good luck & happy 2018 everyone.

After one day, yesterday, back to keto carb ranges, I lost 2 lbs overnight. I think the 5ish pounds we all gained is water weight from the carbs.
