Frother question

#1

I’m not sure what category to put this. Those little frothers that people use to make bullet proof coffee, would those be powerful enough to deal with a raw egg yolk and have it be entirely mixed in?

I think it would be, not sure mine could handle more than 1.

They do OK, and I think I’ve used them with egg once or twice, but if you’re going to be doing eggs regularly, you’re better off with an A/C powered stick mixer. 2 AA batteries just doesn’t give you much power to work with.

I have one of those, I didn’t even think about it. I guess I’ll skip the frother then.

The one I have would. $3.oo at Ikea.

(John) #6

I have like 3 of those, good little things for how cheap they are. That is IKEA in a nutshell I think though.

@jmbundy
It would absolutely work and I have done it. I have about 3 of the battery ones and one rechargeable one that gets used at least 3 times a day. It was not cheap (I think it was $100) but I have had it for 3 years and use it daily. BonJour Coffee Rechargeable “Primo Latte” Hand-Held Beverage Whisk / Milk Frother, Silver. Got mine from Amazon.
My other favorite one is at work. It’s battery powered but has cow print on it.
I use mine for BPC, and to mix my keto salts in a glass. Also nice for any powdered supplements. (like L-glutamine)
I also use it to mix up my eggs before scrambling them.

Or get a stick blender?

I have the cow print one too and I love it! Thanks for the feedback. Someone else had told me that it would not mix the egg so I’m glad to hear it will. Is it added directly to hot coffee or tempered in any way? I haven’t tried it yet, but have a ton of farm fresh chicken and duck eggs that I’d like to find another use for. Thanks!

(Tina) #10

directly to my hot coffee/oil/cream for like 10 seconds, then a quick rinse in the sink, spin to dry.

(roxanna) #11

I’m excited to try this with the egg. Thanks!

I recently tried to use mine to freshen up some homemade mayo that was seperating. Didn’t work.

(Tina) #13

I use a stick blender to make and or freshen up my mayo.
